Melinda C. Sylvester will facilitate the Workforce Development Hiring
Event for this year’s festival. She is the current the President /
CEO of the Georgia Greater Black Chamber of Commerce located in
Fayetteville, Georgia serving the state of Georgia. Melinda has
extensive experience in leading Black Chambers of Commerce and
connecting Communities. Under her leadership as President and forward
thinker: the Greater Southwest Louisiana Black Chamber of Commerce won
National Black Chamber of the Year for the work their chamber did
during Hurricane Katrina. And was very successful is securing
contracts for Chamber members.[Will assist sister chambers affected
by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana] Currently, the Georgia
Greater Black Chamber of Commerce launched December 1, 2016 and
immediately grew to an impressive over 250+ membership and continues
to grow. Melinda thanks her husband Clarence Sylvester’s for his

to launch and fill the void of a Statewide Black Chamber under NBCC in
Georgia. Because of our long-term relationship, I answered the call
and shared the vision with these awesome business owners who came on
board: Chandra Winford, Gloria Thompson, Ruth and Michael Anazi,
Carrie Johnson, Cardelia Reid, Alonia Jones, David Gary, Byron
Williams, Rev. Elijah Hill, Dr. Robert Baffour, Dr. Toni Muhammad,
Jennifer Jackson and now many others. Today; we are very humble to be
able to serve the State of Georgia through GGBCC. GGBCC represents a
futuristic, all-inclusive, highly innovative way to do business and
strengthen the community through individual and collective business

Also A Publisher; Melinda Sylvester started her media career as Sales
Manager for the The Daily Advertiser (A Gannett Newspaper Company).
The Holy Spirit called her to start a magazine. Her career experience
also includes General Manager for KNEk Radio Stations, Store Manager
for Restaurant Chain. Faith & Soul News Magazine was birth 14 years

Melinda moved to Fayetteville, Georgia when her husband heard his calling from the Holy Spirit to move there. Being an obedient servant
of God and wife she relocated their family magazine and has been the
beacon light for families in Fayette County. FASMG launched: FASMG
